Yes Uriah, I agree Scott's idea is fantastic. This would allow a level of subversion within the very context that is being discussed, i.e., "a relaxed W.A. lifestyle". It would be great to think about other potential 'tourist' sites where the postcards could sit alongside existing ones. This way we are targeting a particular unsuspecting audience...

I really like Scott's idea, maybe the domestic airport. Would work well in the context of locative news, and those pamphlets seem to give a snapshot of the particular area. Also the postcards then work on a more traditional holiday scenario.

A thought - I was on my way to the Auckland airport [on the bus], you know those ones that have the shelfs for luggage up the front] and on the side of these they had a stand with pamphlets for / about other cities and attractions / events. Could be a good spot. Most of them are pretty formal and generic and quite text heavy so they would probably stand-out like a sore thumb. Could work for both coming and going from the city and make a few tourists feel uneasy or privileged depending how they read them.

The illustrations look great! I'm glad that this topic is being integrated into the general public. I don't think the majority of Perth is aware of how critical gas supply is for WA, or how many people suffered.

I think they would look great as posters.

Nice work man.

To add to the conversation, maybe somewhere relevant in a waiting room like Doctors, Chemists? Just my two cents.

hahah Re: Alex, great idea.. the places of pain thing is gold.

I love this stuff though.. how the book is for one subject. such a rad idea and having them as tear-away's is good too.. might have to send one to Jim's dad who works for Western Power and has been working overtime because of the blast.

Ah don't really like this one that much.. too text heavy.. not simple enough in design for me.. map of the world never helps either.. as with the criss-cross table cloth.. also the vector work on the foods don't work for me.. would have been better in my mind if they were photographed in a yellow heavy/gross 70's advert for an "hearty breakfast" and then have the text to the side more.. and maybe briefer text, to give it the aesthetic of something interesting, it's too flat atm.
Needs to be visually enticing for me to go further.. too much going on for me.

I think it's great but hindered by the boards size.. The idea of this being a physical info-graphic is awesome.. kidna reminds me of the games 'box cover' or something with the way it is shot also which gives it a nice aesthetic.
